We drive 30 minutes every week to eat here. We found this place when we were renting and keep coming back. The ambiance, staff, and food here are the best in the area. I have been to other Mexican eateries in Dickson and Charlotte, this is hands down the best with authentic flavors.

With an alarming increase in anti-Asian violence, understanding cultural nuances is even more important. There are many ways to support the Asian community, and food is one great place to start. Chefs across the country have created initiatives like #doughsomething and Chefs Stopping AAPI Hate to raise funds for organizations fighting against anti-Asian harassment and discrimination. "You're seeing more people, especially Asian American chefs, feeling much freer and a responsibility to represent their heritage the way that they understand it," says Francis Lam, an award-winning food writer. "It's from their own point of view, and not as an expert just because they grew up in it."

Dairy Belle — Dania Beach, Florida
Dairy Belle offers several varieties of poutine, including poutine with brown or BBQ gravy, Italian poutine, OMG poutine, galvaude, poutine aux poivres, beef poutine, Frank poutine, and 50/50 poutine. All flavors come in a small, medium, or large size to suit your appetite or party size, and the cheese curds come from Wisconsin. The OMG poutine includes the base of classic poutine with fries, cheese curds, and gravy and adds sautéed onions, mushrooms, and green peppers. Another interesting option is the galvaude, which also starts as traditional poutine with the addition of chicken and peas. Though these food trucks have plenty of other types of fries, the poutine options stand out with choices of original, bacon, pulled pork, fried chicken, and buffalo chicken. You can also take a do-it-yourself approach and create your own poutine — and you can get creative with it, considering all of the toppings available.

Just one bite of a Reuben will immediately reveal whether or not you're a fan of caraway, the anise, pepper, citrus-packed — and often polarizing — seed that's been added to rye bread historically for its digestion benefits. These food trucks took this Canadian staple, put it on wheels, and brought it to Arizona. The American Poutine Co takes hand-cut fries and combines them with locally sourced cheese curds and incredible toppings. With many recognitions as one of the best poutine spots in the country, you'll no doubt find the perfect option for your tastes.

She adds, "If anyone wants to cook Indian food, take it out of your mind that it's very complicated. It isn't. Start with something simple and get used to the flavors from there." This wintertime dessert is a Punjabi favorite. It's often served during Indian temple festivals and Diwali, the festival of lights. While poutine is typically an appetizer or main course, it doesn't normally take up most of the menu in a restaurant.

Lin picked congee because it brings back fond memories of her childhood. "Congee is one of the first things I cooked with my grandpa," she recalls. "It's a dish that makes you feel warm and at home. It's the perfect meal in a bowl and a blank canvas you can make into anything. I like adding different toppings, which are always available around the house." Add the carrots, cardamom, saffron, and sugar and reduce the heat to medium. Cook until most of the milk has evaporated, the carrots are tender, and the pudding is beginning to thicken. Stir occasionally to prevent the carrots from burning and the milk from boiling over.

He chose this BBQ dish because of the many fond memories he's had grilling in the different places he's lived. "I love BBQ — from grilling kalbi on the beaches of Hawaii to tailgating during college," he says. "Also, whenever we ate at Vietnamese restaurants growing up, even if they were known for pho, I'd always order the rice plate with the grilled pork and fried egg. If I had a last meal, this would be it."
Brooklyn St. Local is now doing a ton of pop-up events and serving up its beloved poutine at places like festivals. In his former restaurant, Himitsu, he cooked dishes that were "Vietnamese tasting using Japanese techniques and were a riff off of a Southern meal." In March 2021, he started Chefs Stopping AAPI Hate with fellow D.C. They offer unique dining and takeout experiences in D.C., New York City, Detroit, and San Francisco to raise awareness and funds for organizations working to combat anti-Asian racism. Add in oyster sauce and dark mushroom soy sauce, tossing to coat the chicken thoroughly. Cook for two to three minutes until fragrant and sauces start to caramelize on the bottom of the pan. Stir to release the caramelized bits on the bottom of the pan.

The poutine options begin with the traditional collection with ingredients including fries, cheese curds, and gravy. Then, you can add bacon, pork, or chicken to that dish. Your buffalo chicken option includes fries, breaded chicken cheese curds, buffalo sauce, and blue cheese.
Another absolute favorite is the specialty called poutine o' the sea. This dish starts with fries (as all poutine dishes should) and is topped with Little Neck Claims, chowder instead of the usual gravy topping, bacon, and scallions. This dish is large enough to be a substantial meal or a delicious appetizer to be shared among your whole party. For seafood lovers, this different take on poutine is fun and delicious.
Remove from heat, rest for a few minutes, and serve over a heaping serving of jasmine rice, garnishing with a ladleful of the braising liquid. If you have leftovers, it will keep in the refrigerator in a covered container for a day or two. If saving the pudding for another day, reheat it in a saucepan over medium heat with a tablespoon or two of milk to help it regain its creamy consistency. Add the ghee and paneer and cook for another 10 minutes until the ghee is melted and paneer is fully dissolved and incorporated, stirring occasionally. Cook until you can insert a spoon into the middle of the pudding and it's thick enough to stand up straight, another 25 to 30 minutes.
He’s the former Ohio governor and representative who has turned into a cheerleader for moderation in recent years. There are also other reasons a member-elect could vote "present." Rep. Victoria Spartz of Indiana did it already as a sort of protest of McCarthy. She didn't want to support the hardliners who are trying to block his speakership, but she did want to signal to McCarthy that he needs to wrap this up or move aside. The speaker is elected by a majority of the 435-member House, which is normally 218. But "present" votes or absences lower the threshold to reach a majority.
Bipartisan push on more bills to counter antisemitism
Historically, there have been several controversial elections to the speakership, such as the contest of 1839. In that case, even though the 26th United States Congress convened on December 2, the House could not begin the speakership election until December 14 because of an election dispute in New Jersey known as the "Broad Seal War". Two rival delegations, one Whig and the other Democrat, had been certified as elected by different branches of the New Jersey government. The problem was compounded by the fact that the result of the dispute would determine whether the Whigs or the Democrats held the majority.

Congress has created a wide variety of temporary and permanent commissions to serve as advisory bodies for investigative or policy-related issues, or to carry out administrative, interparliamentary, or commemorative tasks. Such commissions are typically created by either law or House resolution, and may be composed of House members, private citizens, or a mix of both. In some cases, the commissions are entities of the House or Congress itself; in other cases, they are crafted as independent entities within the legislative branch. The House will sometimes form a special or select committee for a short time period and specific purpose, frequently an investigation. All committees have websites where they post information about the legislation they are drafting. Although this process means that only a fraction of proposed legislation actually becomes law, the framers of the Constitution wanted careful deliberation in which diverse views are heard and our rights as citizens are represented and defended.
Partisan role
While cooler heads prevailed in question period, Conservative MPs outside of the chamber renewed calls for the House of Commons Speaker to resign, over ordering the Official Opposition leader to leave the chamber. On Tuesday, Speaker Greg Fergus kicked Poilievre out of the House after the Conservative leader repeatedly refused to withdraw his remark, amid a series of heated exchanges between him and the prime minister that saw Trudeau accuse his opponent of being "spineless." An unrepentant Pierre Poilievre returned to the House of Commons on Wednesday to pepper the prime minister about his drug decriminalization policies after being booted the day prior for refusing to take back calling Justin Trudeau "wacko" over his approach to the issue. Last week, Speaker Mike Johnson visited Columbia University, where the protests initially began, and stepped up his criticism of the college protests. The House passed the Antisemitism Awareness Act on Wednesday amid unrest on college campuses. Kennedy has been a member of the New York Senate since 2011, where he led a legislative committee on transportation and served on about ten others.

What a 'motion to vacate' could mean for McCarthy's job as House speaker.
The whip’s official role is to count potential votes for bills being debated for the party leaders. The Speaker is usually selected during party meetings before a new Congress meets, and the House confirms the selection by individual voice votes. Until January 2023, there had not been a Speaker election contested on the House floor since 1923. And the removal of Rep. Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.) as Speaker of the House is unprecedented in Congressional history.
Presiding officer of the House of Representatives
Repeatedly, Mr. Jeffries has ensured the Democratic votes to prevent a federal government shutdown. And last month, when Mr. Johnson faced an all-out hard-right Republican revolt over the Ukraine aid, Mr. Jeffries again stepped in, assuring Democrats had more votes than Republicans to see it to passage. Mr. Johnson faces the same threat of removal, but Mr. Jeffries sees in Mr. Johnson a more honest broker and potential partner he is willing to at least temporarily prop up – even though Mr. Johnson, too, has not overtly asked for any assist from across the aisle. A vote on Ms. Greene’s motion to vacate the speaker is expected next week. And Mr. Jeffries who, with the full force of House Democratic leadership behind him, decided this week his party would help Speaker Mike Johnson stay on the job rather than be ousted by far-right Republicans led by Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene.

The Speaker also is second in line (after the vice president) to the presidency under the Presidential Succession Act of 1947, and the Speaker plays a role in the 25th Amendment’s process of dealing with the event of a presidential disability. In addition, the speaker appoints members and chairpersons of regular committees, special or select committees, conference committees, and designates a majority of the Committee on Rules. Typically, both the Democrats and the Republicans nominate their own candidates for Speaker.
But their far smaller-than-expected majority is offering extra leverage to the kind of pro-Trump extremists many voters appeared to reject in last year’s midterms. Historically, the magical number has been 218 out of the 435 members of the House. But many previous speakers, including outgoing Speaker Nancy Pelosi, have ascended to the dais with fewer votes than that, as some members voted present instead of calling out a name. Every lawmaker voting "present" lowers the overall tally needed to reach a majority. Usually, these committees will make recommended changes to these pieces of legislation, before voting on whether or not to forward them to the entire House of Representatives or Senate for a vote.
Information for candidates
The Speaker may debate or vote, but typically only occasionally does so. The Speaker also serves as an ex officio member of the Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence. For history and trivia buffs, the first Speaker of the House was Frederick Muhlenberg of Pennsylvania. Elected Speaker on April 1, 1789, the day the House convened to start the 1st session of the 1st U.S.
McCarthy is becoming the latest example of a political leader consumed by a revolution the “Make America Great Again” radicals helped to stage. For the radical lawmakers now blocking his ascent to his dream job, he’s become the political establishment he once condemned. But on Friday’s two-year anniversary of the worst attack on American democracy in the modern era, he’s finding out that even that supposedly career-enhancing bet is insufficient to unlock the votes of Trump’s heirs in the chaos wing of the GOP. Kevin McCarthy is the latest Republican leader to find out that it’s impossible to get ahead of his party’s inexorable march to its far-right extremes.
The Office of the Clerk of the House of Representatives keeps a full list of speakers of the House from 1789 to the present. Sam Rayburn, Henry Clay, Thomas Brackett Reed, Joseph William Martin, Jr., Frederick Muhlenberg, John W. Taylor, and Nancy Pelosi are the only Speakers of the House to have ever served in non-consecutive Congresses (i.e. another Speaker served in between each tenure). The first Speaker of the House was Frederick Muhlenberg of Pennsylvania, elected during the first session of Congress in 1789. Typically the head of the majority party in the House, the Speaker outranks the Majority Leader.
Now, the speaker is the leader of the majority political party, controls the order of business on the floor and also votes, just like other members. From 1977 to 1995, three successive Democratic speakers – Thomas “Tip” O’Neill, Jim Wright and Tom Foley – reinvigorated the speakership. They enlarged the party leadership structure, creating wider networks of loyalty among members of the majority party while strengthening support for their priorities.
As a state senator, he supported a package of bills to tighten New York’s gun laws after a shooter inspired by racist theory shot ten Black people in a Buffalo grocery store in 2022. However, a lineup of special elections for vacant seats over the next two months could help expand the GOP’s advantage in the US House. In particular, Republicans are eyeing seats currently held by Democrats who are retiring in New Hampshire and Michigan. "There are things like intimidation, like feeling uncomfortable being openly Jewish or taking a direct route across campus," she said. "It doesn't always manifest as a lack of physical safety. Sometimes it manifests as being unwelcome in a class or feeling like people's viewpoints or perspectives are not respected." A consistent refrain among protesters is that criticizing the policies of the Israeli government doesn't equate to antisemitism.
Democrats dominate NY special election, narrowing House GOP majority
The two houses of Congress may effectively have the same legislative powers, but they operate differently. Indeed, the Articles of Confederation—the first constitution of the United States—established a Congress in which all 13 states (the original 13 colonies) were represented equally in a unicameral (one chamber) legislature, with no Office of the President or executive branch. Congress first convened in the newly independent country’s then-capital of New York City, heralding the birth of the two bodies that form the legislative branch of government—the House of Representatives and the Senate.

The House had changed its rules in 2019 to require a majority of its representatives to move to motion to vacate to the floor, but the traditional motion of vacate was added back in January 2023 during the contentious voting over the Speaker’s position. The speaker usually delegates some of these administrative duties to other members of the majority party, such as acting as speaker pro tempore and leading House legislative sessions. John Boehner was elected speaker when the 112th Congress convened on January 5, 2011, and was subsequently re-elected twice, at the start of the 113th and 114th Congresses. One of the most influential speakers in history was Democrat Sam Rayburn.[48] Rayburn had the most cumulative time as speaker in history, holding office from 1940 to 1947, 1949 to 1953, and 1955 to 1961. He helped shape many bills, working quietly in the background with House committees.

The speaker is responsible for maintaining decorum in the House and may order the Sergeant-at-Arms to enforce House rules. As the office has developed historically, however, it has taken on a clearly partisan cast, very different from the speakership of most Westminster-style legislatures, such as the speaker of the United Kingdom's House of Commons, which is meant to be scrupulously non-partisan. The speaker in the United States, by tradition, is the head of the majority party in the House of Representatives, outranking the majority leader. However, despite having the right to vote, the speaker usually does not participate in debate and only votes on the most significant bills.
Elected by their own party, it’s a job without much formal underpinning. Before members are assigned to committees, each committee’s size and the proportion of Republicans to Democrats must be decided by the party leaders. The total number of committee slots allotted to each party is approximately the same as the ratio between majority party and minority party members in the full chamber. The majority party members and the minority party members meet in separate caucuses to select their leader.
When none of the candidates in the controversial presidential election of 1824 received an Electoral College vote, majority, leaving the selection of the president up to the House, Speaker Clay supported John Quincy Adams instead of Andrew Jackson, ensuring Adams’ victory. On the floor of the House, the presiding officer is always addressed as "Mister Speaker" or "Madam Speaker", even if that person is serving as speaker pro tempore. When the House resolves itself into a Committee of the Whole, the speaker designates a member to preside over the committee, who is addressed as "Mister Chairman" or "Madam Chairwoman". The presiding officer also rules on all points of order but such rulings may be appealed to the whole House.
Because they are elected every two years, they are typically more aware of current public opinion among their constituents. The House Majority Leader—who is also chosen from among the membership of the political party with the most seats in the House—schedules time for floor debate on legislation and sets the legislative strategy for the party in control. The so-called bicameral—from the Latin term for “two chambers”—legislature was created by the framers of the U.S. But it’s important to note that this was not the first format established by the framers for the federal government.

"There's a false narrative that the definition censors criticism of the Israeli government. I consider it complete nonsense," Torres said in an interview with NPR. Speaker of the House Mike Johnson visited Columbia University on April 24 to meet with Jewish students and make remarks about concerns that the ongoing demonstrations have become antisemitic. Many have been motivated by reports and video coming out of Gaza of an unfolding humanitarian crisis. Many of these students see the actions of the Israeli military in Gaza as a continuation of a more than 70-year-long oppression of Palestinian rights, land and culture. Protesters say they want their schools to stand against what they believe is genocide in Gaza.
The House of Representatives is part of the Legislative branch of government. The Speaker’s role within the House has also seen significant changes since 1789. Under the guidelines of Jefferson’s manual, which serves as a foundation for the House’s rules, the Speaker originally didn’t talk on the House floor during debates and only spoke when conducting parliamentary manners.
The Speaker has always been a member of the majority party (the party with the most members) but does not have to be an elected member of the House (this has not happened yet). The job of the Speaker is to keep the House in order and to assign committee memberships and chairmanships. Along with the title and duties, the Speaker of the House continues to serve as the elected representative from his or her congressional district. As the highest-ranking member of the House, the Speaker is elected by a vote of the members of the House. While it is not required, the Speaker usually belongs to the majority political party.
Buck had been viewed as a possible defector before this week, and he made clear that patience with these votes is waning. It’s a very small minority of a slim majority that’s kept the House from moving forward and is on the cusp of derailing Rep. Kevin McCarthy’s bid to become speaker. By the way, this is now the most drawn-out speaker election since the outbreak of the Civil War. However, the trick only works up to this point since the Democratic nominee, Rep. Hakeem Jeffries of New York, has had 212 votes.
By law, the 117th US Congress ended on Jan. 3 and the 118th Congress began. However, the rules do not allow the new House to convene until a speaker is chosen. Members-elect have the ability to change their votes before the vote is gaveled over. CNN is following along and tallying the voice votes as they happen, but it's important to be clear that anything could technically change before the vote ends. The makeup of the Rules Committee has traditionally been weighted in favor of the majority party, and has been in its current configuration of 9 majority and 4 minority members since the late 1970s.
It came to pass on Thursday evening that the confidentially predictable failure of the Official Opposition non-confidence motion went down with 204 Liberal, BQ and NDP nays to 116 Conservative yeas. But forcing Canada into a federal election campaign was never the point. "The problem is that there's two sets of rules. There was a set of rules that was being applied to the leader of the Official Opposition and there was a different set of rules being applied to the prime minister."
"I know many, many people who have been harassed because they wear a Jewish star necklace," Goldin told NPR. Goldin was one student who received a message from Rabbi Elie Buechler of Columbia a week ago. "You know, it's impossible to take the politics out of politics, but the fight against all forms of hate, including antisemitism, should transcend partisan politics," he said. Rep. This was a very tough time for the family -– especially for Jesse, who shouldered the responsibility of his grandfather's funeral arrangements. This left him very little time to grieve, although having a chat with Michelle (Olsen) about talking through one's feelings finally allowed himself to do so. It’s clear the the stars of the show are adamant about keeping Michelle’s memory alive, as she was such a significant part of the original series — proving that there is no bad blood with the twins.

The stars may have aligned to bring the rest of the cast back to Los Angeles for Fuller House, but the New York City-based Olsen twins have full plates on the fashion and business front. It’s been years since either sister appeared in front of the camera. Instead, they’ve been focusing their time and energy on their successful fashion empire. Both sisters serve as designers of multiple clothing lines including The Row and Elizabeth and James.
Michelle Tanner does not appear in the 2016 Netflix sequel, Fuller House, as both Olsen twins declined to reprise the role. As for Ramona's father, Fernando Guerrero (Juan Pablo Di Pace) and Kimmy have had a fiery on-again, off-again relationship. At the start of "Fuller House," Fernando and Kimmy are divorced, due to him having cheated on her multiple times during their marriage. Yet he claimed to still be madly in love with Kimmy, and eventually he wins her over.
John Stamos
When Nick threatened to disown Jesse, it was Nick's wife, Irene (Yvonne Wilder), who stepped in to mend the bridge between the two. In the end, Nick still wasn't all that happy about Jesse's new ambition, but accepted him back into the family. Disappointing as it is that Michelle won't be around with sisters D.J. And Stephanie on Fuller House, the Olsen twins have solid reasons for not joining the cast. Twelve years working away from cameras on the fashion scene is a big departure from acting full-time as child stars, and we can't blame Ashley for not wanting to jump back into such a famous role.
Danny inherited his mother Claire's love of cleanliness
In "Fuller House," Stephanie inherited her Uncle Jesse's love for music, and has talent as both a singer and songwriter. Stephanie moved back to her childhood home to help raise her nephews after DJ's husband passed away. Iorgos Katsopolis (Jack Kruschen) was the patriarch of the Katsopolis family. Although 89 years old, the lovingly dubbed "Papouli" was a child at heart. He made his one and only appearance in the Season 7 "Full House" episode "The Last Dance," when he visited his grandson Jesse (Stamos) and the Tanner family. During his time with them, Papouli brought joy to the children and adults alike.
Did ‘Fuller House’ Kill Michelle After The Olsen Twins Declined To Appear On The Show?
Wendy actually dated Joey for a time on "Full House," although she only appeared for two episodes in the series before disappearing forever. During the timeline of "Full House," it's mentioned that Claire lives in Tacoma, Washington. However, in order to be closer to her son and grandchildren, Claire eventually moved to San Francisco. Like Danny, Claire is a neat freak, and she once mentioned that when he was a boy, she and Danny would often bond over cleaning. It seems that her great-grandson, Max, also inherited her love of cleaning in "Fuller House." Sadly, Papouli passed away from a heart attack during his visit.
Fuller House Star Discusses the Series’ Final (and Best) Michelle Reference
She turns one-years-old in the first season and by the end of the show Michelle is eight. As she gets older, she has a wild streak and is a smart-aleck. She is shown having many friends, and spending much time with them. Michelle is the character with the most catchphrases. She mentions that her favorite color is green in "Tough Love".
Jesse's Greek grandparents come to San Francisco to celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary, but things go rather crazy when both Jesse and D.J. After a walk around the kitchen table, one of Jesse's old girlfriends, Elena Banalakis calls him her husband and her younger brother Sylvio calls D.J. Dump their spouses and Jesse proposes to Becky, who says yes.

"I Was Angry": John Stamos Gets Candid About Olsen Twins Not Returning For Fuller House.
Stephanie wants him to come to her science fair and DJ wants him to come to her drama festival. Meanwhile Jesse and Joey attempt to film a fox in the wilderness for an advertisement. Michelle turns four in the beginning of the episode, finishing her birthday cake in bed after the guys tuck her in. When Stamos broke the ultimate #tbt news last April on “Jimmy Kimmel Live! ” that a revival was underway at Netflix, the Twitter squeals from fans rivaled the number of hugs logged in during the original series’ 192 episodes.
Jimmy may not be the smartest man in the world, but he has a good heart. He is loyal and considerate, and he loves Stephanie. Although Stephanie is reluctant at first to give Jimmy a chance, in the end she finally admits her feelings for him, and they begin a relationship. As if the surprise that Kimmy Gibbler has a good-looking younger brother wasn't enough, no one could have predicted that Stephanie Tanner and Jimmy Gibbler (Adam Haganbuch) would have ended up together.
And Stephanie, even going so far as to confuse the band with the Counting "Cats", "Cars", and even "Cows". Eventually her sisters have to correct her each time. After the events of Full House, Michelle became a fashion designer (the same as Mary-Kate & Ashley Olsen) and began "running a fashion empire". During the run of the series, the character of Michelle uses many catch phrases (more than any other character). Some of you know how much I love Full House and now, Fuller House!
The Olsens are actually sororal, the female version of fraternal twins. If Michelle were to reappear, they would probably have to choose, which one of them would reprise the role. In "Leap of Faith" (8.21), she gets roped into going to a Counting Crows concert with D.J.
Get irritated with him, and he meets Danny and Jesse who are also irritated by him; later, he meets Michelle, who he finds has a lot in common with him about money. When Stephanie meets Steve, he helps her out with her glasses dilemma. Taking his advice, she borrows all of Joey's funny glasses, but the teacher confiscates them.
Before she was Becky Katsopolis, Rebecca Donaldson (Lori Loughlin) was just a simple country girl living in Valentine, Nebraska. Becky's mother and father are Kenneth (Don Hood) and Nedra Donaldson (Lois Nettleton), who own a farm. Kenneth once told Jesse that before getting married, he was a rodeo cowboy. They met Jesse and the Tanner family for the first time the day before Becky and Jesse's wedding.

The heart of both "Full House" and "Fuller House" lies with the Tanner sisters. After losing their mother at a young age, DJ, Stephanie, and Michelle were lucky enough to have three dads to help raise them. Over the years, audiences watched as the young girls grew into young women, and overcame many obstacles along the way. Claire is also the mother of Wendy Tanner, a zoologist who moves around a lot for her work.

Jesse and Becky's wedding day arrives but a talk with Becky's father the night before the wedding makes Jesse become nervous about possibly losing his life. So in an attempt to have "one last adventure" as a single man, Jesse has Joey take him parachuting, which ends up with him getting stuck in a tree. The fourth season of the family sitcom Full House originally aired on ABC from September 21, 1990 to May 3, 1991. Two decades later, nostalgia has become fashionable. And long-dead shows, such as “Twin Peaks” and “The X-Files,” are being resurrected from the dead — some with help from Netflix.
The Fuller boys
She and Jimmy decide to find a surrogate to carry their child for them. Kimmy volunteers, and later gives birth to Danielle Jo Tanner-Gibbler. After the triple wedding in the "Fuller House" series finale, Stephanie reveals the joyous news to DJ and Kimmy that she is pregnant -– something which they did not believe was physically possible. This miracle was the perfect way to sign off the series, indicating a bright future still to come for the Tanner/Gibbler family. In addition to Jesse, Nick and Irene also had a daughter named Pamela. She would eventually go on to marry Danny Tanner, and was the mother of their three girls.

John Stamos: Olsen Twins 'Fuller House' Absence 'Blown Out of Proportion'.
The show’s first trailer, which was essentially just cut-aways of the set against a Miranda Lambert song, has notched more than 14 million views on YouTube since its December release. When Joey and Ginger first introduced the Gladstone kids in "Fuller House" Season 2, their names came as no surprise. Joan (Kingston Foster), Phyllis (Ruby Rose Turner), Lewis (Finn Carr), and Jerry (Noah Salsbury Lipson) were clearly all named after Joey's favorite comedians.
Stamos touched on the “misinformation” surrounding a possible feud between the cast and the girls, saying it couldn’t be further from the truth. “Once I talked to them, I understood their position on it and I respect them,” he said. As a fan of the original, the question about what the Tanner sisters would be like today has still not been answered. Recasting the role would give fans a chance to find out. Recasting helps Fuller House stay truer to Full House's story than continuing with the explanation it is currently using. As toddlers, she and Howie are enamored with each other.
Later on, when they are at Becky and Jesse's wedding, they dislike each other because of her being a girl and him being a boy. However, they come to an agreement to get "married" because they both want to be served cake. After Michelle's first day of pre-school, when she lets the class bird Dave fly away by accident, she wants to quit pre-school, and Jesse agrees to let her drop out, but Danny won't let her. After graduating from pre-school, Michelle goes to Frasier Street Elementary School until the end of the series. Now that I know I was in the wrong spot I will be sure to make it to the correct house the next time I’m in San Francisco.
The Real Reason Why Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen Aren't on 'Fuller House' as Michelle Tanner
In truth, revisiting Michelle in her adult years was always a tricky aspect of a Full House revival. Denise Frazer is a recurring character on Full House, played by Jurnee Smollett. Denise would eventually be the one who replaces Teddy after he moves to Texas. In 2006, the Olsen twins launched The Row, a luxury brand with a focus on timeless pieces. A year later, they co-founded Elizabeth and James, another high-end women’s lifestyle brand that includes clothing, accessories, and fragrances. Up until 2018, Elizabeth and James was exclusively sold at Nordstrom, Saks Fifth Ave, and Net-a-Porter, but has since become available at Kohl’s, making it more accessible to every budget.
The premise of "Fuller House" has quite a bit in common with its predecessor. All grown up with kids of her own, DJ Tanner is now DJ Fuller. After the unfortunate death of her firefighter husband, Tommy, she is left to raise their three boys on her own.
Fuller House: Why Mary Kate Almost Returned As Michelle (But Not Ashley) - Screen Rant
Fuller House: Why Mary Kate Almost Returned As Michelle (But Not Ashley).
It’s a very contemporary show, but it has that “Full House” vibe for sure. It’s got heart, it’s about family values, it’s a traditional sitcom. So in a way it’s a throwback, but it clearly takes place today.
Regardless, the Olsens have chosen to forego revisiting their Full House character altogether. One could imagine them potentially returning whenever Fuller House ends, possibly to bring some closure to the Full House universe. Maybe even to announce she is returning to San Francisco? Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen alternated the role when they were younger, despite their not being identical twins.
It seems unique to me because there’s nothing else like it out there. Kids are more sophisticated, audiences are more sophisticated, so we’re rolling with the times. Lori Loughlin, who played the lovable Aunt Becky on the revival and the original series, was booted from the show after news broke earlier this year of her involvement in the college admissions scandal.
In seasons five and six, she is friends with a boy named Teddy, whom she meets on her first day of kindergarten in the season five premiere "Double Trouble". The two enjoy doing many things together; it is revealed in "The Long Goodbye" that they enjoy dotting each other's "I"'s on their papers. When the two are in first grade, Teddy reveals his father got a new job and thus he and his family have to move to Amarillo, Texas. Michelle, saddened by the news, ties him up in her room tricking him into thinking she was teaching him how to jump rope.
Starting in season four, Danny realizes that he must start disciplining Michelle. Jesse proposes to Becky and they soon become married. Joey's career takes a turn for the better when he is offered a job in Las Vegas to open for Wayne Newton. In the season finale, Becky finds out that she is pregnant as Jesse tells her, he wants to go on tour with his band. Begins eighth grade, Stephanie goes to third grade, and Michelle enters her final year of preschool. Stephanie originally believes she's infertile, but later finds out she has a few viable eggs.
That it would ultimately find a home in Netflix makes sense. Of course, it closed out with a heartfelt note of getting through things as a family and, naturally, there was hugging. Jackson (Michael Campion), Max (Elias Harger), and Tommy, Jr. (Dashiell and Fox Messitt) are certainly a handful, but each boy has their own personality and traits that make them special.
The series, once again backed by Warner Bros. and production companies under its banner, is helmed by original “Full House” creator Jeff Franklin. Franklin will serve as an executive producer of the series, along with returning producers Robert L. Boyett and Thomas L. Miller. John Stamos, who played bad-boy heartthrob Uncle Jesse on the original, is a producer on the series. Though Joey remained a bachelor throughout the "Full House" series, we discover in the reboot "Fuller House" that his character finally managed to settle down and start a family. Well, maybe "settle down" isn't quite the right phrase. Joey still retained his wacky antics and childlike enthusiasm, and that definitely shows in his parenting style.
On the whole, it's good to know the real story behind Michelle's absence on Fuller House. The truth behind the lack of Michelle is certainly more straightforward than salacious, but it's nice to know nonetheless. We don’t have any time restraints, they said make the shows as long as they need to be or as short as they need to be. So they range from 23 minutes to 35 minutes … that’s been refreshing. We’re telling stories that are more serialize than we used to. There are plotlines that move from episode to episode in a way that we didn’t do before.

Customize your home plan
Building a modern home often involves a higher investment compared to constructing a traditional home, mainly due to several factors inherent in contemporary design and construction. Just because your home may lack in square footage doesn’t mean it has to lack in luxury! The key to achieving luxury in a small space lies in functionality and aesthetics. The color palette of a space can define it; if you’re searching for something luxurious, try to go for sophisticated hues like neutral tones or jewel-like accents.
Home Plan Collections
If you’re looking for small house plans with a garage, you (or a contractor) could make a few modifications to the plans to close in the carport. A modern home plan typically has open floor plans, lots of windows for natural light, and high, vaulted ceilings somewhere in the space. Also referred to as Art Deco, this architectural style uses geometrical elements and simple designs with clean lines to achieve a refined look. Our small modern house plans provide homeowners with eye-catching curb appeal, dramatic lines, and stunning interior spaces that remain true to modern house design aesthetics.
What Does 5,000 Square Feet Look Like?
Because there aren't support walls throughout the home, as in past designs, contractors may have to use heavier, more expensive support beams to make it safe, even in small house plans. Always worth checking out our Cost To Build Reports to ensure your budget aligns with the home you plan on building. Whether you’re looking for a large family home with a lot of square footage, a small modern house plan or something more trendy like a modern farmhouse, you’ll find it in our collection.

These homes are characterized by clean lines, minimalistic aesthetics, and a focus on functionality. When looking at the floorplan for a Modern home, you’ll notice that they typically feature open floor plans that allow for the ambiance of the home to flow seamlessly throughout.

Building a modern home often involves a higher investment compared to constructing a traditional home, mainly due to several factors inherent in contemporary design and construction.
